The interactive explorer turns our Corvair model into a place to ask questions. You can rotate it, separate assemblies, and select the objects that make them up.
01 / Start with the whole car.
Open the explorer and launch the model. Drag to rotate, use the scroll wheel to zoom, or pinch with two fingers on a touch screen. Look at the car from different angles before moving into a specific assembly.
02 / Choose an assembly.
The model groups its objects into 13 functional assemblies. Choose an assembly on the Explore page to open that area directly, or use the viewer’s assembly directory. Both follow your selected website language.
The group view separates assemblies while keeping their internal arrangement together. Inside an assembly, the expansion control helps reveal more of its internal structure.
03 / Select a part.
Select a modeled object to see its name, purpose, location, and related objects. Names, controls, and explanations follow your English or Chinese language choice. The viewer also lets you isolate a selection or hide it to reveal what sits behind it.
04 / Return to the whole.
Use the viewer’s reset control to restore the car. Keyboard shortcuts include F to focus a selected object, Esc to close the selection, and R to reset.
The most useful question is often: “What does this connect to?”
Understand the model’s limits.
The 4,284 selectable objects include details such as repeated fasteners and modeled surfaces. This is not a count of distinct real-world replacement parts. The exploded views illustrate relationships, not a recommended disassembly order.
The explorer downloads approximately 88 MB of model assets when launched. You can read these notes and browse the rest of the website without loading it.
